| 1937 | Expansion of the company and production of the first measuring tape with automatical retraction of tape. | |
| 1947 | Start of measuring tape export to America, France and Norway.
Firtly the measuring tapes are merchandised as tools for industry, trade and business.
Later meterex produces the first measuring tape with advertising. |

| 1966 | Richard Kuntze becomes managing partner and concentrates the production on measuring tapes for the promotional items and tools industry. In the following years these classics have been developed: Imperial - bestseller measuring tape to date Visita - the first measuring tape in business card format, world wide Bodyflex - first body measuring tape world wide. |

| 1978 | Production of the first spirit levels made of plastic. |

| 1990 | Oliver Kuntze joins the company. Expansion of the production range to folding rules made of wood and plastic. |

| 1999 | By the expansion of the production the company moves from Solingen to Langenfeld With the new production and storage capacity, meterex has one of the largest production range in measuring tapes, folding rules and spirit levels in the european promotional item market. Due the our own injection moulding section, production, pre-press, screen- and tampon printing machines, meterex is able to respond to customers desires very quickly. Many colour combinations of measuring tapes can be realized from only 100 pieces without extra charges. Individual casing colours in Pantone or completly customized casings are realized frequently. |
