Diameter 3m is ideal for measuring the circumference of round objects. The flat tape fits close to e.g. trees, fence posts or pipes. By turning over the tape measure, the diameter can be obtained directly from the circumference. The special hook at the end of the tape can simply be hung from a nail or screw. The modern white housing has a black trim + stop and an integrated magnet to hold the hook.
